I was chatting with an assistant based on Command-R-Plus and when I retried one of the messages I got this error:
Now I can't regenerate any of the messages in this chat. HuggingChat also doesn't seem to have an ability to delete messages/trees so I could clear it up and continue with my current chat. Why does this error even appear if the chat that is sent to LLM only has 27 messages?
I believe that there must be an option to delete messages at very least.
I believe swipes/regenerations also count towards the total, likely because you can go back to those messages at any time. I found out about the limit the hard way when I tried to do the CAI method of having 30 swipes each. The whole RP came to a screeching halt at around 16 messages in lol.
It's unfortunate that there's no way to delete messages, though.
Edit: Ayyy, we can delete messages now. Cool that people don't have to worry about running into the regen limit. Has a nice side effect of the LLM being more cooperative from what I've noticed, too.
